The new album, "Dream Out Your Window," is finished! As soon as we have a release date we will announce it here. There are 11 songs on the new release:
dream out your window cd cover

  1. Never To Forget
  2. Meet Yer Maker
  3. Suspended
  4. The Message
  5. Nothing Became Something
  6. Entangled
  7. Mantra
  8. Present Is A Place
  9. Up To You
  10. The End
  11. All
Are you dying to hear what it sounds like? Come out to one of our upcoming live shows. The current set contains most of the songs from the album.

In celebration of the summer solstice, our resident psychedelic head, Valis, has compiled a great psychedelic compilation which we have contributed a track to. The rule was, the song had to have the lyric, "trip inside this house" in it.

We found a recording of a live jam from last year, dusted it off, added some vocals and voila! A TRIP INSIDE THIS HOUSE!!!

You can hear the whole compilation here.

HAPPY SUMMER!!!!!

It has been a while but creativity has been in the air at the Dora Flood camp. A new album is in the works with a possible fall '08 release date in mind. We are also working with Andrei Pasternak on bass who will play his first 2 shows with us in San Francisco and Grass Valley next week. stay tuned...

The video of Everywhere We Go has been added to the Visuals-section. This is an edited version of this song. We’re going to play the west coast of the US in September, and as we get the gigs confirmed they’ll be listed on the shows page as always. So far we have two Los Angeles shows confirmed. Talk to you soon friends!

Thanks for everyone who came to see us on the East Coast! So much fun was had that it’s hard to remember all of it. We’ll be adding some photos from the tour soon, so check back. Also, We Live Now has been getting really good reviews all around and we posted some of them in our, you guessed it, Reviews-section.

We are currently working on new material, as well as setting up some West Coast shows for the summer/fall. We are moving ahead now with Jaakko on drums and are glad to have him in the band. More to come...

Hey all! The album release is getting close now, and we’ve started the rehearsals for our East Coast shows in March. A couple of things have changed: long-time band member Sean DeGaetano dropped out of the tour last week. Ville’s brother, Jaakko Vilpponen, will take over the drums for the duration of these shows. We also had to cancel our Ohio appearance in these circumstances, which we do regret. In any case, we are really excited to do the remaining gigs and naturally hope to see as many of you there as possible. Spread the word, friends! More updates to follow...

Some news: We have a new bass player! Aaron Robberson is an old friend of the band and we’re happy to welcome him into the fold. Aaron came in just in time to make a contribution to the new album (of which we’re now in the mixing stages). Also, there will be some Dora Flood shows this summer. As we get these confirmed, they’ll be listed on our Shows page, so check back.

Hey all. It’s been a while since our last update, but we’ve been making progress: We started recording 4 new songs last week! Sean already finished his drum tracks and the bass parts are up next. Live dates will have to wait a while longer as we are focusing on completing this album. There will be something cool happening in late summer though...

Stay tuned for more.

Wow... another year almost done... This is Dora Flood wishing everyone Happy Holidays. Or if you’re not into all that stuff just enjoy the cool breezes and the darkness of winter. We’d like to thank all the good people who made it to our shows in San Francisco and Oakland over the past few weeks- your support means a lot. There’s one more happening scheduled this year: If you’re in the vicinity, come and start your New Year celebrations a day early with us and good friends The Junior Panthers. We’re playing The Hotel Utah Saloon in San Francisco Friday December 30th. This is going to be a fun night! Party time.

We’re taking a small break from recording but the tracking will resume in January with new material we’ve been writing for the album. We’ve also been doing some raw mixes of songs and everything sounds really promising to us. More updates to follow soon.

Looking forward in seeing you in 2006! Over and out for now.

Hey Everybody!

It’s been a long while since we wrote anything of any interest here and it’s about time to make good. First of all, big thanks to everybody who came to see us at the Ivy Room, Starry Plough and Make-Out Room shows in the past few months… You are the greatest and a lot of good times were had! Also, tons of good karma to those who were present at the Hurricane Katrina benefit night at the Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco. It was a bit of a different scene for us, but it was nonetheless great to be there in support of the cause.

So let’s see what’s happening here… We’re writing and recording the follow-up to last years’
Highlands-album. We’re really excited about the new material and things are going smoothly so far.
Recording is being done at Michael’s new Sound Port Recording Studio in Berkeley, CA, and everything is tracked to 2-inch tape producing super-nice fat analog sounds and smiles all around. The live room of the studio also serves as our practice space, and we have a refrigerator that sometimes has beer in it, and… well, you get the idea- it’s pretty laid back, yet productive. We’ll probably continue the writing/recording process for a few more months or as long as we feel that we have enough stellar music for this next album in the can- hopefully this can be achieved without us permanently beaming ourselves into a parallel psychedelic universe which we so love to create. After that, the usual: mixing, mastering, artwork etc. We’re hoping and shooting for a release next summer, but these things tend to change. Oh yes.

We’d like to perform some of the new songs live before the year is over and are putting bills together for a couple of nights around the Bay Area. When we get these gigs confirmed we’ll announce them here so check back often. We understand that there are a lot of you out there who’d like to see us play but who don’t live in Northern California and with that in mind we hope that next year would bring some touring for us as well.

And we promise more frequent updates from now on, and you know we could never lie to you… Until next time then- stay spacey.

Sometimes ones life gets so busy that cyber space takes a back seat. We are sorry for neglecting our site but we are back. We have some shows coming up as well as a new CD in the works. We are approaching the halfway mark, however, being that life deals us a lot in these times, it will be a short while before it is completed and released. Michael is getting married in May so his last show as a bachelor is the May 11th show at the Hush Hush. Also check out the hot photos from our
Great American Music Hall performance last year.
